I'm trying to help a friend find his great grandfather's cemetery, he
was a Rabbi who died 1905 in Ostashin, Belarus. His name was Eliezer Nathan Kavesh. Is there a list of Jewish cemeteries that might help him or even list his name? Thanks Beth Zinderman Burnham (Zynderman,Wolfowitcz, Deutsch, Sheer, Ledner, Muffs, Singer)

I am trying to contact Anna Landa or her descendants in Israel.
According to a Yad Vashem testimonial written in Russian by Ms. Landa, she is a grand-daughter of Emanuel and Blyuma Murakhovsky of Tarashcha, Ukraine. Emanuel Moisevich Murakhovsky was an older brother of my grandmother, Esther, who left the Soviet Union in 1923. Anna Landa lived on Duvdevani Street, Bayit Vagan neighborhood, in Jerusalem in April 2000. I have no idea whether that address is still valid or indeed whether she is still alive. Any help would be much appreciated. Joseph Walder Portland, Oregon, USA jscottwalder@... MODERATOR NOTE: Please send contact information privately.

Gayle Schlissel Riley mentioned that "On Facebook there is a web page
for my Polish town -- Dawny Tarnobrzeg. They have photos and articles on the town's activities. They have a translation button. I have been a member for years and I have made friends, who have provided docs. This type of source is useful. I recommend checking your town for a web page. " Agreed, Gayle... but I'd like to remind folks there are 54 Kehilalinks pages for Galician Towns that are now in Ukraine and Poland... right here on JewishGen at https://kehilalinks.jewishgen.org/Poland.html .
