I just wanted to take the time to relate my experience in trying to find a
cousin of mine who is a doctor in Bratislava. Through the marvels of
posting in the JewishGen digest and various SIG digests I was able to
contact someone online with the same last name as my cousin, who
miraculously was able to locate the address of my cousin in Bratislava
(even though he lived in Prague). His wife had professional contacts in
Bratislava which enabled her to do this for me. After writing to my
cousin a few times in the last two years I had given up any hope of
hearing >from him. After believing that he did not want any contact with
other members of the family, it turns out that he was looking for someone
he could trust to relate the horrors of his family's past to me in
English. This finallly occurred when a childhood friend of his came to
visit him recently >from Australia, and I finally received a letter >from
him two days ago. Now we have someone who is willing to assist us in
continuing our relationship.

I guess the moral of the story is never give up on finding relatives; and
just because they do not answer immediately does not mean that they do not
want to make contact with you as well.

splendid job!!!--the 23rd annual conference planners are hard at work
getting ready for a grand event less than a year >from now. While our
