The Hungarian National Archives has an online catalog of their microfilms.

Select Parish Registers, select jewish, and then press search. You should
get what appears to be all registers. The Ujfeherto comes in two different
versions:

U'jfehe'rto' (Izr)
Fehe'rto', Ra'cu'jfeje'rto'
Birth register: 1852 - 1895
Marriage register: 1886 - 1895
Death register: 1886 - 1895
Mixed register: 1844 - 1895
Frames: 915 Film number: A 3528-3529

U'jfehe'rto'-anyako"nyvi keru"let (Izr)
Mixed register: 1852 - 1885
Frames: 127 Film number: A 3518

Would someone translate this?

I was sent records >from registers in Nyiregyha'za, for Gesztered that
included Bo:ko:ny, but I don't see this neither on LDS nor in this list.
Does anyone know what was or was not included in the microfilming? or is
the Gesztered records just misfiled somewhere?

About a year ago Ed Zwieback posted an offer regarding
"a partial list of Jewish Apartments in Varazdin,
Croatia." I tried e-mailing him directly, but the
message bounced.

If the offer is still good, I have a request regarding
two of the names you listed. I have a hunch that they
may be my gf's stepmother and her son. It seems they
may have died at Jasenovac.

Dear genners,
I've searched and I've found a map of the city of Iasi on-line! The
address is www.ici.ro/romania/cities/images/is_harta.jpg. I've also
emailed the library at the university in Iasi to ask their assistance in
locating a city map circa 1870.

Years ago when I visited Barbados, I was shown the grave of "the last of
the Paleologus family", someone who died in the 1600s. I don't remember

"Neighbors , the destruction of a Jewish Community" now- available #usa

Carol Skydell <cskydell@...>

The book you've been hearing about, reading about, talking about
....originally published in Polish, soon to be released in English, is now
available on the JewishGenMALL at a discounted pre-publication price of
$18.95 plus shipping and handling.

Jan Gross' "Neighbors", is the chilling tale of one summer day in 1941
when half the Polish town of Jedwabne murdered the other half. 1,600
Jewish men, women and children murdered not by the Nazis as many believed,
(and as many would have the world continue to believe) but by their Polish
neighbors who destroyed all but seven of the town's Jews.

The author puts together a shocking and brutal story >from eyewitness
accounts remembered well by locals but forgotten by history. His
investigation reads like a detective story, putting truth to the often told
lie.

"Neighbors, the Destruction of the Jewish Community in Jedwabne" will be
available in April, but because of expected interest the JewishGenMALL is
accepting advance orders.

Hi Doris

To perform the test you have explained your brother would need to take the
test, and the other woman would need her brother or her brothers son, if
the brother has a son. Find people related to each of you who have the
same surname as your maiden names and you will be testing the right set of
Y chromosomes.

Good luck

I know that I must have my Brother take the DNA test, but must her Brother

Need address for Mt. Hebron Cemetery #general

dorothy rivers <dotvic@...>

I have a death certificate for my great-grandfather which states he was
buried at Mt. Hebron in NYC somewhere. this is the second time I've
received this same copy although I'm not sure it's my great-grandfather.
Everything checks except his employment and burial place.

I've been led to believe that he's buried in Washington Cemetery and
I'm waiting right now for a reply to my inquery there. In the meantime I
think I'd like to write to Mt. Hebron, just to cover all bases.

If a New Yorker could get me the address I'd really appreciate it.
