Warszawa Research Group #Warsaw #Poland Polish Parliament Members Lists from Interwar Period #warsaw #poland

Adam Cherson

Dear Researchers,

I have recently stumbled upon a reliable lead indicating that a first
cousin of mine was a member of the Polish Parliament during the interwar
years when Vilnius was under de fact Polish jurisdiction. I would like
to try to confirm this lead somehow. I do not know anything about Polish
research since I have been concentrating my efforts thus far in the
Lithuanian and Belarusian databases. So my simple question is this: is
there a database I may access containing the names of members of the
Polish Parliament >from the Wilno Voidvodeship between around 1922 and
1938?

Many Thanks For Any Guidance Offered,
Adam Cherson

Warszawa Research Group #Warsaw #Poland Trying to understand a 1912 marriage record from Warsaw #warsaw #poland

Allen Kurtz

I am hoping to receive some advice in understanding a 1912 marriage
record >from Warsaw. The record has been indexed on JRI-Poland so I
know the name of the bride and groom, names of parents, etc. The
signatures of the bride and groom are clearly written on the bottom.
But I am frustrated in trying to understand the rest of the license,
to the point that I cannot even make out the name of the bride, groom,
parents, etc., in the heart of the document.

I don't have the same problem when looking at a document from, for
say, 1835. Names are clear, etc. Their are excellent templates on a
familysearch Wiki to help.

But nothing similar seems to exist for later records (the familysearch
wiki is of no help).

I would assume that 1912 vital records are in Polish. It is definitely
not in Cyrillic. I don't think it is in German. Am I correct that
Warsaw records circa 1912 are in Polish?

Why can't I make out names?

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly
appreciated and thanks in advance to all the helpful family historians
and genealogists in the community.

Caecile STEINFELD #germany

E Wilson <eveywilson@...>

Hello,

I am looking for the records of my great grandmother, Caecille STEINFELD
born SCHLESINGER. She married Salo STEINFELD 1839-1896 in
Oberglogau/Glogowek O.S/Upper Silesia 13 Aug 1869 according to the LDS
microfilm I examined. The marriage document indicates that Caecille
STEINFELD born SCHLESINGER is >from Proskau/Proszkow which is in Opole
County in Upper Silesia.

The document does not state her parents name or age at marriage .
I estimate that she was born 1845 (+ - 5). Her
children were Benno STEINFELD, Arthur STEINFELD, Wally TISCHLER born
STEINFELD, Gertrud, BOEHM born STEINFELD Georg, STEINFELD, Walter
STEINFELD and Anna ZERNIK born STEINFELD who were all born in
Oberglogau.

I would like to locate Caecille STEINFELD - born SCHLESINGER
birth &/or death certificates which may indicate the names of her
parents.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Best regards, Evelyn Wilson, Reston, VA eveywilson@...

According to International Red Cross records, my uncle Majer Hersch

However, I have photographs, dated 1940, which show him in a very
