Hello Everyone:
I am trying to locate information on my father's side of the family. My father was Jewish and his family name was Hirschburg. I have recently acquired a copy of my grandfather's death certificate and have learned his full name was Max Hirschburg and that he was born in Berlin, Germany 8/2/1863 and died 6/16/1929 in Dayton, Ohio. His parents names were Joseph Hirschburg and Alwine Hecht. Do either of these names look familiar to anyone ? We have never know anyone else with the name of Hirschburg and would love to, so if anyone has any information please contact me at my address (goldmoon@...) Thanks , Susan Sassaman

Hello,
I am searching for the family of Hyman and Fanny RUBIN >from Chicago, IL. They were the parents of Esther, Pearl and Morey. I believe that they were in the business of manufacturing "Dungarees". Daughter Esther married a man named Alban (spelling?) and I believe that they had two sons and settled in California. Pearl was married to Morey Malis and Pearl has a daughter Leila who lived in Chicago before moving to CA. Leila was married to Sandy (Sanford) Gerber and they had two sons (Leila and Sandy divorced). Morey was married but I really know very little about them. Fanny was Fanny LECHNER , sister of Yetta GREIF and Ethel BARIS both of whom lived in New Jersey. Please if anyone has any information on the Rubin's , their children, grandchildren or greatgrandchildren I truly would appreciate your sharing..

PLOTNIK from Pinsk

M Schejtman <mario_m@...>
Hello everybody,
Talking with a second cousin I learned a little more about the family of my grandfather Isaac PLOTNIK, >from Pinsk(now Belarus). So now is the time to share this information with you, maybe someone out there has any knowledge or a hint that can assist me. Here goes: My grandfather had three brothers and a sister (Mordechai Michael, David, Baruch Mendel and Slava/Sylvia respectively) My request for help regards two of his brothers. David PLOTNIK, was a carpenter. He moved >from Pinsk to Vilna. He had two sons, Ephraim (that emmigrated to the US and was the only one to survive the Holocaust) and Menashe. Baruch Mendel PLOTNIK, owned a candy store in Pinsk. He was married but we do not know for sure the name of his wife, nor if they had any children. He (and probably his family too) perished in the Holocaust. Many thanks in advance to everyone for any comment. Mario Schejtman Jerusalem Israel also searching: PLOTNIK and LEVIN >from Pinsk, GOLCMAN and TENENBAUM from Kobrin, SCHEJTMAN >from Argentina (and probably Belz), ARCUSIN, LEVENTAL and CAUTAR >from Argentina (in all cases all the spellings, of course)

Would welcome any ideas for tracing original name of Simon Ephraim Lewis,
born in Pilsen, Bohemia, in 1805. Simon immigrated to the U.S. as a young man, settled in Wisconsin. Somewhere along the line, his name was Americanized to Lewis. Would welcome contacts >from any other Lewises who have successfully traced Jewish lineage to Bohemia, and information on surnames which may have been converted into Lewis. Jacob and Julia GOODMAN
#general
Mrs M Sprott
Has anyone got any suggestions on what I should do next? Jacob and Julia
GOODMAN were born in 1812, and 1814. Their daughter, my Great Grandmother, Jane Goodman was born in England in 1849, at Houndsditch Street, when Jacob abd Julia were 37 and 35 years old. This seems quite old to me for anyone to be just starting a family, especailly a woman, and way back then, and so I just wondered if they may have had children back in Prussia, Germany, where ever, and they did not come to England with them. They did not list their date of marriage in the 1871 Census, so I don't know if they were married before they came to England or not. Is there any one in England who could do a search for me to find out if there was ever a marriage listed in England between Jacob and Julia Goodman(formerly Goldman)? Thankyou, Monica Sprott Queensland Australia msprott@... Check out my web sites at http://www.jewishgen.org/family.html and http://www.homestead.com/msprott/Judaism.html Searching for people with the surnames ISRAEL, GOODMAN, GOLDMAN from England, Germany and what used to be Prussia.
