Seeking information on Alois MUNK
#general
Peter Wells <peterpixel@...>
It's a while since I posted on this NG. I hope I get better luck than last time!
Alois MUNKk was my Grandfather. He was born in Feb 1876 in Krumlov Moravsky. His parents were Joachim Munk and Helene Singer. They are buried in Brno. He had two siblings, Adolf and Edmund, also buried in Brno. He married my Grandmother Paula FRANK in 1909 but divorced her in 1921, the same year my mother, Teresa Munk (later Teresa WEINBERG), was born. Alois was the editor of several newspapers in Vienna and wrote many articles mostly about the theatre at that time. I believe he later moved to Germany. He later married a Margarethe SEDLITZ and I believe they had a daughter, Lotte, together in 1925. I believe Alois perished in Riga. If anyone has more information on Alois or any of his family, please do contact me. Thanks Peter Wells |

AUB Family - Research report

Ralph Baer
An update -- Last month I stated that all people with the family name AUB
appear to be related and asked to hear >from anyone who had such people on their tree so that I could add to my tree. My statement was in part based upon the fact that I know the connection to all references to AUB in Lars Menk's book "A Dictionary of German-Jewish Surnames" with the possible exception of those in Hemsbach which I have not located. In the interim, I have received two references to people named AUB in eastern Europe which are probably not members of this family. Ralph N. Baer Washington, DC RalphNBaer@... |
