Holocaust-period records now available to members of Gesher Galicia

Gesher Galicia recently announced the completed indexing and uploading
onto the freely available All Galicia Database of two important sets of Holocaust-period records: - Debica-area Holocaust-period death testimonies, held in the Rzeszow State Archive These are testimonies, provided by people who survived, of Jews who died during the Holocaust - all but a handful of them murdered. They were gathered after the end of the war in Europe. We should have mentioned earlier that Gesher Galicia is indebted to Russ Maurer and Mark Jacobson for their valuable work on these records. - Doctors' Questionnaires, 1941-1943, >from the Przemysl State Archive and AGAD, Warsaw These are detailed, four-page forms (some with face photos) that Jewish medical and health-care workers were obliged to complete under the Nazi occupation. The people named included doctors, dentists, dental technicians, nurses, midwives, radiologists, cosmeticians, medical students and others. Gesher Galicia is pleased to be able to announce that we have put both these sets of records, with their spreadsheets of indexes, into a new Galician Holocaust Records section of the Members=E2=80=99 Portal on the Gesher Galicia web site. Currently paid-up members of Gesher Galicia (and only they) will therefore be able to view these documents freely, for their personal use.
