Lithuania SIG #Lithuania 1874 Snipiskes (suburb of Vilnius) Family List
#lithuania
Peggy Freedman <peggyf@...>
We have just uploaded the 1874 Snipiskes Family List with Additional
Revisions in 1879, 1883 and 1884 onto the Vilnius District Research Group Shutterfly site. The 1858 Revision List for Snipikes is already part of the All Lithuania Database. Eighty percent of the surnames on the 1858 Revision List also appear on the 1874 Family List. This may be the key to follow your family back in time! While these translations will eventually be publicly searchable in the LitvakSIG All Lithuania Database, they are currently available only to participants in the LitvakSIG Vilnius District Research Group. A contribution of $100 to LitvakSIG, earmarked for the Vilnius District, will guarantee you immediate access to all translations of records >from Vilnius District towns (new and old) through December 31, 2020. You can see a list of these surnames by downloading the file called “Extracted Surnames” that is freely available here: https://vilnius.shutterfly.com/ If you would like to help us continue to translate files in the Lithuanian Archives (and have immediate access to these records), you can do so by making a $100 donation to the Vilnius District Research Group of LitvakSIG here: https://www.litvaksig.org/membership-and-contributions/join-and-contribute/ and click on the icon for "Research Groups for Districts and Gubernias" and then pick "Vilnius District."
