The Russia part I can't help with, but since the 20th Century started on
January 1, 1901 your grandmother, even if born in 1900, would still have
been born in the 19th Century.

Michalovce (Nagy Miha'ly in Hungarian) is in Slovakia, about 20 km south of
Humenne'. I suspect that Nodmiha/Mihailovce are misspellings of the same
place. Slavkovce (Szalo'g in Hungarian) is also in
