Thanks to all for the leads. It seems access to NYC DCs from 1949-1968 is in the courts since 2019. I just donated $25 to the cause. This is a travesty for NYC which is way behind the rest of NY State

I think there is confusion in that many MyHeritage trees were entered in Hebrew and thus it presents them as entered. It does not change any local settings.

Thank you, Rollie. That is especially interesting because she also lived in the 17th century, and from the surname Weber I would guess it was the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

Geni is owned by My Heritage. My Heritage is owned by an Israeli company.

Another benefit I have found from using geni, MyHeritage and Ancestry are photos. Many times an individual’s photo will appear on only one of the sites.

The death certificates are locked away at the Health Department only available to direct family members.
Depends on what years you are looking for on the naturalization but a lot of them are on
