Why my Brooklyn family was buried in New Jersey. My grandfather belonged to the New York Social Club which had a section in the large Washington Cemetery in Brooklyn probably since the early 1900s.

A family friend was never in Auschwitz but he was tattooed, presumably when kept at a children's detention center before he escaped through the children's march to the United States.

Do the marriage and death certificates give her age? They usually do. This should give you more information as to how to interpret her age in 189, as should the 1900 census.
