If you lived in Manhattan or the Bronx, it was just as easy to go to NJ. My grandfather in the 1940s bought plots from
Beth Israel cemetery, Woodbridge NJ and he lived in the Bronx.

My wife’s father’s family came from Krynki and later moved to Bialystok. Their name was Suchonitzki. We visited Krynki in 2004 or 2005. We had family photographs that were taken in the cemetery
