It could be almost anything as people have responded. My grandmother's aunt was Ida in English but her Yiddish name was Hotke/Hotka which is how we call her, which I believe is a diminutive for Hodes

I take issue with the majority of sources on My Heritage and Geni being from trees. Both sides have Social Security, Census, birth, death, and marriage records and public records, among others.
