Hi! Two of my grandparents are from Galati. I was recently in touch with a researcher who says he travels to Galati every 2-3 months from Bucharest. Still waiting to see if he goes and how he does.

Hessen Jews prior 1700

I have traced my Heilbrunn family as well as others back to very early 18th century, when I hit a brick wall. Where would these Jews have previously lived? Where might I find information about them.
