I think there's a Murphy's law about that, if you're correcting someone's grammar or spelling, you'll have a typo of your own.

Found the US manifest (below). When immigrants arrived in Canada for transit to the US they went through the standard process conducted by US immigration agents as they would have if they'd arrived

Here's a link to Chawe, Hersch, and Chaim leaving Liverpool for Quebec. There should be a border crossing document into the US but I haven't found it yet, those records and indexes are spotty.
