Translation Request (Yiddish) - Postcard sent to my Grandmother in 1914 #ukraine

smoody61@...

Hi,
I have a postcard that was sent >from Detroit to my
paternal grandmother Rose EINBUND in Pittsburgh
in January 1914. I'd like to have the card translated
from Yiddish to English.
The postcard appears to be >from someone named Abe
ADELMAN. I don't know if he was a friend of my Grandmother,
a suitor, or a cousin of some sort. The card was sent c/o my
grandmother's cousin Rubin SOLOMON [changed from
ZALMANOV]. My Grandmother came to the US, in July of 1913,
from Parichi (near Shchedrin) in the Belarus region of
Russia.

I've posted a request for the translation (Yiddish to English) on
Viewmate. The Viewmate ID is VM15094
http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=15094

Thanks (again!) for all of the great work in translating and
interpreting these letters!

Looking for Rae Wells (regardless of spelling!) - London, UK #unitedkingdom

chmho@...

I very recently found out, through verbal history, that my grandfather had a
cousin called Rae (Rachel?) Wells. Spelling is a guess. >from what I was
told, I assume she lived in the London area. Finding an hitherto unknown
cousin might help me extend my knowledge of his family tree a generation
back.

My grandfather lived >from 1910 - 1994. She might have been older than him,
but if so, not by too much. If I understood correctly, her husband went to
Belgium for financial / business reasons, and was found there when the
German's invaded, and never made it back. I don't know if she remarried.

If anyone knew a lady called Rae Wells, or knows someone who might have that
family's genealogy, could you please respond to:
chmho@...

Thanks in advance,

Michael Paley
