It is still one of the best ways to orient new researchers in their

Back in January, I posted on ViewMate a snippet >from a UK census which
was the name of a town in Germany. I asked for suggestions as to what it
might be. I received 12 responses, resulting in 9 different suggestions
but never actually posted to thank all those who contributed. I'm very
grateful for your opinions, although such a wide range hasn't really
brought us much progress. Nevertheless, it's always so reassuring to
know that there are so many people out there willing to help.
