Hello,

I am researching the Ascherman families of Bohemia on behalf of the family of a friend. (Decendants of
Nathan Ascherman who lived in Chicago.) In the course of my research, I have come across several other
Ascherman families and their descendants >from the same area, and some who believe they are related but
are not quite sure how. I am hoping that we can find out how the families are linked. Below I have gathered
information on several different families, along with some individuals. I tried to list the families in groups
below with a space between each family group

Jewish families took >from Iasi in Romania to Hamburg in Germany on their way
to England and America.

Did they have to change stations in the big cities on route ?

I know that they received aid >from the local Jewish Communities on route.

My grandfather came >from Olshana and on his grave marker the name of his father is Leb. On that list there is a Lejba who must be his father.How can I find out more about these people? Dear Genners,

I was imprecise in describing a Viewmate document for translation. VM 15408
contains information in Polish written onto a form allowing either German or
Polish: only the headings contain German. So, if you are able to translate the
marginal notes, names of witnesses and other information in the columns---
marriage was in May, 1888. I believe the bride is listed as widowed.

I was imprecise in describing a Viewmate document for translation. VM 15408
contains information in Polish written onto a form allowing either German or
Polish: only the headings contain German. So, if you are able to translate the
marginal notes, names of witnesses and other information in the columns---

Celia mentioned that the CHAT family (relatives of Tom Heinersdorff) had
roots in Vienna Graz Budapest and originally Moravia (Neu Raussnitz)
Rousinov.

Does anyone know if the below CHAT members are related?

1) Ida BACHRUCH Born: Feb 8, 1855 in Budapest + Heinrich (Henry, Henrik)
CHAT Born: abt 1840 Married: Sep 6, 1874 in Budapest. Residence: Paris.
Died: Dec 29, 1909 *parents of Albert and Robert

2) Hermine (Hermina) BACHRUCH Born: Feb 19, 1860 in Budapest + Jakab CHAT
Born: abt 1847 >from Korvacts =region? Father: Abraham CHAT Mother: Katalin
MATZNER
*?2nd husband of Hermine? Alberto JANESICH Residence: Paris
