Moshe SCHLEZINGER (SZLEZINGER) married to Brana SZCZUCINER (SZTULCER in JRI's index), 1889, Wyszogrod, Poland #general

Avraham Y. Kahana

Hi, I am looking for a SCHLEZINGER family that married into my SZCZUCINER.
I have Brana SZCZUCINER's (one of my great great grandmother's sister)
marriage record, to a Moshe SZLEZINGER, dated >from 1889, at Wyszogrod,
Plock district, Poland.

Moshe's parents are Chaim and Blina (nee Torysz ?! a guess...)
There is a marriage index at JRI >from Ciechanow, dated >from 1850,
between Chaim SZLEZINGER and Blima TORYSZ. Could be Moshe's parents.

Yaakov Yeshayahu (Jakow Szaia) SZLEZINGER, married to Sura Nacha
KOZEBROCKI, on 1896, could be a brother (basing my guess on the fact
that Yaakov's marriage index shows up in the same JRI index batch as
Moshe, and >from my experience, constitutes a good chance that the
families are related)

If you happen to have any additional details on any of the families
mentioned above, please reply back privately.

Thanks in advance,
Avraham Yehoshua Kahana

Shalom WAJCMAN (Weitzman/Weisman, from Wyszogrod, Poland) married to Nechama KANO (from Wiskitki, Poland), on 1884 #general

Avraham Y. Kahana

Hi, I am looking after relatives of the WAJCMAN family that married to
one of my great great grandfather's siblings.

Here is what I collected on them so far:

Shalom Wajcman, born on Wyszogrod, son of Avraham Yitzchak and Reizel,
married to Nechama Kano, >from Wiskitki, at the year of 1884 - at that
town. I believe Shalom was born around 1864. Nechama was born on 1865

Their children:

Reizel
Chaja Necha (deceased as an infant - died of desease)
Ester Fejga (deceased as an infant - died of desease)
Szyja
Rachel
Tsertel (Cerka)
Moshe
Chaim Yossef
Yitzchak (deceased as an infant - died of desease)
Mendel (died on 1897)

I assume this WAJCMAN family was >from Wyszogrod.

If you connect to them, please reply back privately.

Harry BENJAMIN #general

Sue Levy

I am seeking anything at all to do with Harry Benjamin MBNA (born 1897), a
London physician and strong advocate for nature cure and wellness through
diet and lifestyle at a time when such a thing was viewed with scepticism.
He authored numerous books, including 'Better Sight Without Glasses'.

Harry Benjamin was a cousin of my mother-in-law Miriam Levy nee Benjamin,
though they never met: Harry lived in England, Miriam was a New Zealander.

We have never discovered whether Harry ever married, or when he died and
where he is buried.

Their ancestry goes to back to the town of Sompolna in Poland, where the
surname Benjamin was originally SOMPOLINSKI. Harry's grandfather was
Benjamin Sompolinski. Benjamin's children included Miriam's father Jacob
Benjamin, and Harry's parents Simon Benjamin and Betsy Newman.

Harry's siblings were Edward (Tobias) b 1898 and Beatrice b 1906.

Any anecdotes, family connections or information would be much appreciated.

Narrowing a list of Y matches #dna

Werner Frank

Looking for advice on how to proceed in narrowing a large number of
Y-DNA matches at 37 markers >from Family Tree DNA that indicates
belonging to the R-P25 Haplogroup. I have my early eighteenth-century
progenitor's given name and location of origin but no surname nor a
patronymic connection, although his maternal grandfather's surname was
Oppenheimer.
