Rosa Fassel Sonneschein was the only American woman at the First Zionist
Congress in Basle. Born in Hungary, she was a friend of Herzl's. One of her

Explaining names of documents in the Wiener Stadtarchive #general

t_shlomit <slotoaf@...>

I am researching the Einziger family in Vienna and Galicia.

Asking the Wiener Stadt-und Landesarchive what documents they are able
to find, based on names and dates I have >from the Zentralfriedhof , I
received an answer listing document's names that mean nothing to me.

I'll appreciate any explanation about those documents and what can I
expect to find in them.

Here is a copy of the part of the archive's letter dealing with the
documents:

" Im hiesigen Bestand sind die Verlassenschaftsabhandlungen WStLA, BG
Ottakring, 1A 9/1927 (K. Einziger), BG Hernals, 1A 384/1925 (J.
Einziger), BG Hernals, 1A 182/19 (M. Einziger) sowie BG Innere Stadt,
13A 501/1942 (N. Einziger) vorhanden." "(ca. 20 Seiten)"

I would appreciate translation, please, of an article in Polish re
Klepfisz, J. L(eibus); taken >from the Internet, at a search on Google
Images; there was also a link on the webpage to webapp.uibk.ac.at; Is
that a German website? Can anyone explain?

The direct URL for the article is

http://data.jewishgen.org/viewmate/ALL/viewmateview.asp?key=8800

I just looked at this file on Viewmate; when I posted, it was very
clear; now, the image appears much smaller; I hope that you'll be able
to zoom in to see it well..... ( it's three lines worth to be
translated;)

Please send responses directly to me; my e-mail address is

TRICHTER/TRIESTER, BILLIG, CHARMATZ, BEER, SCHAPIRA, WOLFSTEIN, BLATREICH, HEKLER, JEGOLMIZER #general

roe kard

Subject: TRICHTER/TRIESTER, BILLIG, CHARMATZ, BEER, SCHAPIRA,
WOLFSTEIN, BLATREICH, HEKLER, JEGOLMIZER

I have a 15 page document >from Brody, Ukraine (about 40 miles East of
Lviv), >from between 1819-1836, written in Polish or Gothic German,
that contains several people with the aforementioned family names. As
I read them they are: Joseph TRIESTER or TRICHTER; Joachim TRICHTER
(is he the same as Joseph?); Chaim Benzim TRICHTER; Moses TRICHTER
(and the other variations) who seems to be married to, or marrying,
Mirl Mariem BILLIG; Esriel BILLIG; Naftali BILLIG; Ber CHARMATZ;
Mayer BEER; Feige SCHAPIRA; Nathan Schneyer SCHAPIRA; Herz WOLFSTEIN;
Josl Beirosh BLATREICH; Joseph BLATREICH; Wolf HEKLER; and Marcus
Jacob JEGOLMIZER.

If you have more recent relatives with any of these names,
irrespective of the spelling (think Daitch-Mokotoff), >from anywhere
within +/- 50 miles of Brody, these may be your ancestors. I am happy
to share these documents with anyone who thinks they may be related.
I just ask that you share translations - tell me what these documents
are about - as I am really trying to understand this world and the
amount I have to translate is beyond any one person's capacity to do.

Gitel Chaye Ita Rosenfeld Rokart
