Dear All,

I search NADWORNY in any corner of the earth. My family was the only Jewish
family with this name in the city of Odessa >from its founding until today.
We are both a needle-in-a-haystack and a bright light. I have managed to
reconstruct the family >from at least the name of my great great grandfather
to great grandfather, all his children, all their children and even some
descendents further down the chain. I am continually startled at how much
information I have found considering the small size of this family. I
located a large contingent in Brazil and was told (at least 6 years ago)
that their ancestor had originally gone to Argentina to live with "a sister
and her husband" (around 1908) but the name wasn't known. I have searched
the possibilities over the years and narrowed it down to two women. A dear
JewishGen friend in Argentina photographed the matzevas and got death
certificates. This narrowed it down to one person. But I was never able to
locate any of her descendents. And there it sat.

Yesterday I rec'd an email via the JG Family Finder >from a young man in
Israel who decided to do his family tree. And he decided to check out
NADVORNI and found me and now that brick wall just shattered! He is the
great great grandson of the woman >from the matzeva. And not only did I find
him, but it turns out another sister and her husband >from that group of
siblings also had gone to Argentina (another name I had played around with
in my Argentinian searchings).

Along with a grateful donation to JewishGen for making this possible, I'd
like to give encouragement to all with their own brick walls -- patience is
its own reward!

Regards,
Anita Citron

Express JRI orders #general

I used JRI Express to order a marriage record >from Bialystok. The service
is incredible. I couldn't get through on the fax number so I used snail
mail and still received the correct record in 7 days. The clarity was
wonderful and came in .JPG e-mail. Mark Halpern and Stanley Diamond have
done it again. Now, if we can only find a way to translate those Cyrillic
Russian documents it would be perfect.
