I just found out that I am 15% Jewish!
#general
Tracy Jones <cvgrammy@...>
I just received the Ancestry.com DNA results. I am 15% Jewish but never had a
clue! Very exciting but frustrating at the same time. I have done much work on my ancestry and now believe I know where my Jewish heritage comes >from but I can't seem to find out any information at all. My grandmother was always known as Isabel Ila (Stanley) Moore. I found her Marriage License and see Isabel Kaufman Stanley. I've never heard Kaufman before! Facts that I have for her father; my great grandfather: 1. Harry Emil Stanley 2. Born Feb. 15, 1866 in New York. I found one thing that said Bronx but not sure if that is correct. 3. Married on Aug. 20, 1895 to Alice J. Gann in Alameda County, CA 4. 1900 US Census has him in Santa Monica, CA. He is married to Alice and both Harry's parents were born in Germany. 5. 1910 US Census has him in Santa Monica, CA 6. 1920 US Census has him in Fresno, CA 7. He died in Fresno, CA on July 7, 1921 I can't find anything earlier than when he was 29 years old. No parents name either. Any help is appreciated as I'm finding **nothing.** I'm so frustrated. Thank you in advance for any help you might offer, Tracy Jones

I'm afraid that you are incorrectly reading people's surnames in Wasiliszki rural commune. Bohdanowicz, not Bondanowicz [Marja], and Bohdziewicz, not Bondanowich [Jozef] Those people are not Jewish, they are listed there as owners of the settlements or manors in Wasiliszki rusral administration. Names next to surnames identify property names, and numbers in parentheses show area of the property which is expressed in units known as morgen. Best, Alexander Sharon Calgary, AB

Searching: KORIZNER: Kraziai, Lithuania --> Elizabeth, New Jersey 1901
#general
Lisa Wolf
I am searching for my great-grandfather Wolf Leyb KORIZNER from
Kraziai, Lithuania. Wolf Leyb and my great-grandmother, Chaia BERELOVICH immigrated to NYC, then Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1901. I have internal passport records, tax and voter lists, family list, a birth record and a marriage record for various members of the Korizner family showing them living in Kraziai. A number of sources have told me that the name Korizner is a place surname and indicated they were originally >from Korizny/Kraziai. I am unable to find any other records in any other databases for the Korizner surname. I am specifically looking for birth/marriage records for Wolf Leib, for his parents , Girsha and Chana and any records for his grandfather Wolf. I am also looking for any other families with the surname KORIZNER. Thanks, Lisa Wolf

Finding Correct Info
#general
Gideon Hadari <gideon@...>
Hi,
I checked my family tree for consistency and found 15 consistency issues. How can I solve, at least, one issue? e.g. Issue: "Died too old: = Deceased person died when they were more than 110 years old. Eliezer Lipa (Lipman) (Born 1687, died February 11 1813) was rather old at death (at least 125 years old)" I've searched the internet and these dates are everywhere. Where and how I can find correct information? Please advise. Best regards, Gideon Hadari Israel
