Testing and adoption

Hi,
If a woman was adopted, and was not sure if her birth parents were Jewish, would any of these tests show any information indicating origins? Would they show a possibility of Jewish ancestors, or possibly another type of ancestor, such as Asian, Irish, German non-Jewish ancestors? Thank you, B Mill

Would anyone know where I can get a hold of the descendants ofThere is a book entitled "Keter Kehuna" by Chaim Dov Fridberg, printed in 1898 and reprinted in 1993 (in Brooklyn). It's in Hebrew, about 80 pages long, with many details about the Sha"ch's descendants. You can find it in University librararies in Israel. I couldn't find my link in that book, but I hope you do. My g-g-g-g-g-grandmother was, Beila, wife of Rabbi Yosef-Moshe TEICHER (of Czudec, Zolynia and Przemysl). she died c. 1864. Her father, Yaakov, was a descendant of the Sha"ch, Rabbi Shabsai HaKohen, but I have no further details. Best regards, Tomer Brunner, Israel.

Toby Bey <tbey@...>
My gf Samuel ASHKANOZY was b1874.
I have not been able to find him on any passenger list for 1888 at the Castle Garden web site. Does anyone know if they are adding to this web site? The 1920 NY census states Austria as his birthplace. He is buried at First Bolechower S. Ben. Assn., Maspeth, New York. His first cousin is also buried in the same area. Would I look for his birth records listed under Austria, Galician or Poland? Toby Bey North Palm Beach, Florida
