In the Warsaw telephone directory for 1938-9 there are two listings
for "Ch. A. Kaplan", which would fit the name of "Hiam" as you have
given it. They are both for the same person, who is director of a
school. The school is at ul. Dzielna 15; he resides at ul. Nowolipki
20. The telephone numbers (as if this means anything) are respectively
11 57 13 and 11 58 07.

I have maps of Warsaw and can look to see if these streets are still
listed by the same name; if you want me to do that, drop me a line. If
the addresses are in the area of the former ghetto, of course, they
are either gone or likely have been renamed, but I think I remember
these names.

Ralph, Are you sure that the name is Kaplan not KaplOn? I found the
street's name where Kaplons lived in 1854 year. Anyway, remember that during
the IIWar the buildings and streets in Warsaw were destroyed.
