Warsaw cemetery #general

Paul Silverstone

I have a photograph taken in 1927 in Warsaw of the gravestone of my great-
grandmother. She died about 1908. How can I find out if this gravestone still
exists, as I understand some Jewish cemeteries in Warsaw remain? I can send a
scan of the photo if there is anyone who is knowledgeable about this.

SHEIN family from LIthuania #general

Dr. Trevor Waner

I am looking for any information about the SHEIN family >from Lithuania. The
most famous of this family was RABBI SHLOMO YAAKOV SHEIN who wrote many
books and among them Avnei Shais, in memory of his son Abba. He and his
wife brought up their nine grandchildren. I am looking for anyone who
might have information about them. Their names are: Chaim, Ester, Laser,
Mira, Moshe Hillel, Yichiel, Banius, Dora and Bluma.

Looking forward to your replies,

Who are the people in the car? This picture was most probably taken in New York

This picture was taken in the 1950s in Hollywood at a 20th Century Fox sales
meeting. My father and uncle are on either side of this woman, who I think is
a movie actress. Anyone recognize her?
