Grandfather's (Joel Zecharja GEWERCMAN) birth certificate.
He was born 19th of Sep in Ruskie-Piaski.
I am seeking help in translating contents of columns 4 to 6 as well as
header rows and stamps.

I posted a message like this last year. I am looking for two Submittesr of
Holocaust Testimony to Yad Vashem, their descendants or anyone who may be
related to or know anything about the people/families mentioned below. The
first submitter is named Lote BER or BAR. In 1955 she lived at King George
103 Street in Tel Aiv, Israel. She gave testimony about Shumel Hirsch
ZILBERMAN who was born in Girtagola (Girkalnis), Lithuania in 1887. Shmuel
was a single schoolteacher. According to another Submitter, Rabbi Azriel
KRAM or KREMER of Israel, Shmuel had a brother named Yisrael who was also a
single schoolteacher. Yehudit Lita (Volume 4) describes their murder
alongside their mother at the hands of the Lithuanians. According to Rabbi
Kreme, the brothers had a sister whose first name is unknown. She survived
the Shoah, came to the U.S. and married a man >from Slutsk. They had
children. I am trying to find either this survivor whose maiden name is
ZILBERMAN or SILVERMAN or her children or grandchildren.

The parents of Shmuel, Yisrael and their sister were Raicha and Eliezer
(Lazar) ZILBERMANof Girtagola. I believe that Lazar may have been related
to Izrael ZILBERMAN (perhaps a cousin). In 1879, Izrael was the assistant
to the Av Bet Din (Chief Rabbi) in Raiseiniai District for Girtagola. The
Rabbi, who was >from Jonava, was named Shmuel Hirsh EPSHTEYN (Halevy-Epstein;
descendants now known as LEVIN-EPSTEIN). The Rabbi's best friend Shmuel
ZILBERMAN of Girtagola (orginally >from Koenigsberg, Prussia) was my
great-greatgrandfather. Shmuel's daughter, Cyrella ZILBERMAN, married the
son of the Rabbi who was also a Rabbi. The Rabbi's daughter married a Rabbi
named GORDON. Cyrella ZILBERMAN and her husband, Rabbi LEVIN-EPSTEIN moved
to Sheffield, England where he was the Av Bet Din. This part of the family
tree is documented in Dr. Neil Rosenstein's book, The Lurie Legacy.

Thanks to JewishGen and LitvakSIG I have found the LEVIN-EPSTEIN descendants
in England and the US. Before it is too late I am trying to find either Lote
BER/BAR or her relatives. I am also trying to locate the Shoah survivor
whose name was ZILBERMAN before she came to the U.S. and married the man

from Slutsk. I know that she and her husband visited Rabbi and Mrs.Kremer

in Israel some years ago. Perhaps these names and stories will sound
familiar to someone's children or grandchildren. I am also trying to find
the descendants of the VINIK/VINNIK family of Girtagola. One of my
ZILBERMAN greatgreatuncles may have used the name VINIK for a while to avoid
conscription. In 1879 Izrael VINIK son of Iosel VINIK, "represented a
prayer school" in Girtagola. Does this mean he was a Melamed or an
administrator of the school? There were nine such representatives of the
prayer school listed that year.

One more point about Lote BER/BAR: She also gave testimony for a brother
named Alex bar Josef ALEXANDER and a sister Tzetzilla ALEXANDER both of
Berlin, Germany; a cousin Chaim KARNOVSKY (who was born in Raiseiniai in
1896 to Natan and Ester and became a merchant); an aunt Hene VINIKAITE
(Kheine VINIK), born in Girtagola in 1895 to Yisrael who was single and a
clothing store owner in Kelme where she died); and another cousin, Feivel
SHAPIRO (born in Lithuania in 1900, head of a Yeshiva in Belgium, who
married a woman named Khiena FLEISCHER with whom he had an 11 year old child
named Yehudit).
