My ancestors are buried in two different cemeteries in Kecerovce, near =

Kecerovce was originally built two different villages which were joined =

My great great grandmother Rebecca Lichtenstein is buried in the former =

I visited the cemeteries in 2002 at which time the local villagers =

I would be happy if these two cemeteries could be added to the official =

Please don't forget the the word Zidovsky has a soft "Z" sound like Zsido.
This means that there is a diacritical mark above the "z". In order for
your search to find the word, you have to incorporate the diacritical.

The URL which our moderator added at the end of Moshe's message works, and
if you click on it you will see that there are plenty of "jewish" and
"zidovsky" references on the site. If you do not have a "cs"
keyboard/fonts, they I would recommend that you cut and paste one of the
"Zidovsky" words into your search terms and voila. Diacriticals are a pain
for us >from across the big pond, but they are a fact of life.

Good luck,
Gabi

I tried to copy the Jewish cemeteries listed under my privously mentioned

accents which is against the H-SIG rules, I hope they will still pass.

It seems that this Domain for some reason doesn't have a proper name. Out of
couriosity I looked at the Google for "Starý židovský cintorín" to find
another URL and came to the following address, which lists several Slovak
cemeteries and some of they are Jewish, like:

Banská Bystrica - Židovský cintorín
Barca - Židovský cintorín
Bijacovce - Židovský cintorín
Bratislava - Židovský cintorín neologický
Košice - Starý židovský cintorín

May be some of you will find, what they are looking for, it has also a part
written in English

it's little distressing to see that the english pages on that web site,
along with all references to "zidovsky" (jewish), seem to have been
removed.
(all the pages that turned up in a google search for "zidovsky
site:kosice.sk" appear to be missing >from the server.) "zidov" also
doesn't return
any results >from the site's own search feature.

is this just a restructuring of the web site, or a purge of the city's
jewish history?

....... tom klein, toronto

ps. i understand the moderator's note, but accessing the pages other than
through the domain name itself is not a good idea.

Vivian I lived in Budapest in 1944, and I survived on Vadasz utca 29, an
annex to the Swiss embassy where about 4000 people were hidden, mostly
young Zionist. I don't know anything about Miklos, but maybe if you
would send the search to ALLGENERATION (Szerena Woolrich news letter,

maybe somebody heard or knows about him . It's worth trying it. I
