Thank you all who wrote to me about how to check on names. Those who said
that probably a firewall or a prevention to pop up ads may be culprit, I think that you are right. Now if I could only figure out how to disable them temporarily. Thanks for any input. Diana Weinman Monroe Twp., NJ

Grossman Family Roots
#hungary
Mike & Anne Beaudreau <beaudreau@...>
Hello!
I am trying to find out any information concerning my great-grandmother's family. Her name was Dora Grossman. She was married to Joseph Feuer. Dora came into this country in the early to mid-1880s >from Hungary. It is said the family was >from Budapest, but this is not proven. Her parents names were Mendel and Raisel Grossman. I believe Mendel came into this country, but I cannot find any trace of Raisel. Dora and Joseph are both buried in Mt. Hebron in NYC. I was told it was in a Hungarian section. Also, a pamphlet in a family members storage box recently surfaced. It was >from 1947 and was for a family reunion they called the Grossman Family Circle. If anyone has ever heard of this, please contact me. These were regular family meetings with a formal board and sponsors. My grandmother, Ruth Feuer Kornfield, mentioned this when I was a little girl. My grandmother, by the way, was the baby of 10 children that Joseph and Dora had. The names of the children are as follows: Henrietta Feuer Zimmerman Beatrice Feuer Holpert Anna Feuer Simon Rose Feuer Levy Martin Feuer Emanual Feuer Frieda Feuer Wasserstrom Samuel Feuer Frances Feuer Katz Ruth Feuer Kornfield (Kornfeld) Thanks! Anne Devora Beaudreau Clifton, Virginia

Skot Iskola

John J Kovacs <j.kovacs@...>
Margarita Lacko wants to find out if the Vorosmarty
Mihaly Iskola and the Skot Iskola are the same. The Vorosmarty Mihaly school's history, according to their website, began in 1975. They say that the school has a famous history. The former school was founded by a Scottish Mission. Thus, the Vorosmarty and the Scottish schools are the same. John Kovacs Bloomfield, Michigan Does anyone know a person named Perlgrund?

Skot iskola, Budapest
#hungary
Margarita Lacko <mishpologia@...>
Dear H-siggers,
Not long ago I found out my mother went to the Skot iskola in Budapest. One of her best friends was RUTTKAI Eva. Doing an Internet search, I found the following: Vörösmarty Mihály Általános Iskola 1064 Budapest, Vörösmarty u. 49. A Vörösmarty Mihály Általános Iskola a VI. kerületben, az Andrássy út, Teréz körút, Podmaniczky utca, Izabella utca által határolt rész középpontjában, \"Terézváros szívében\" helyezkedik el. Intézményünk neves múltra tekint vissza. Elodjét a Skót Misszió alapította, melynek jelszava: \"How to do good?\" (Hogyan tegyünk jót?), és ez a gondolat hatotta át a nevelési módszereket. Would this be the same school? Best regards, Margarita Margarita Lackó from "the island" in Miami(JGFF researcher # 11453) GENEALOGY: © mishpologia@uzidog.com uzidog2000@yahoo.com
