Hi Genners,
Mimi Katz asks why she finds a connection between Philip and Wolf in a UK Data Base. Here is a possible transition: Philip may have a Yiddish name of Feivel, which can become Velvel, which is a Yiddish name meaning Wolf (and the Hebrew would be Zev). This could explain the connection and the metamorphosis of Phillip to Wolf. Haviva Dolgin Langenauer Palm Beach, Florida

Looking for DAFT relatives
#galicia
Joel Throne <jkt25@...>
I had just discovered that relatives of mine-Sara and
Berl Hersz DAFT had immigrated to the USA aboard the SS LaTouraine on March 7, 1921. They had three children with them Basia (24), Benjamin (18) and Mendel (14). They arrived in Ellis Island and was sponsored by Max DAFT. After that there are no records at all. I know that they are >from Szczerzer. Any suggestions as to how to find them and if they had any decendents? Thanks, Joel Throne-Daft, Mager, Throne, Scheer and Streitfeld.
