Genealogical department of the Center for Research on Dutch

Ben Noach <bnnch@...>
The genealogical department of the Center for Research on Dutch Jewry
(Hebrew University-Jerusalem) has resumed full-fledged activities, after a partial stagnation of over two years. The department shall again gladly receive genealogies, based on Dutch Jewish roots, to be added to its Dutch Jewish Genealogical Data Base (the DJGDB), either digitalized in gedcom format, or hand-made, to be digitalized by the team of volunteers of the department. We shall also gladly consider absorbing other genealogical material, that has a bearing on Dutch Jewish genealogy. (The department does not do any genealogical research of its own, but maintains a "response group" to assist in resolving individual genealogical queries). For additional information, please contact:- Ben Noach-E-Mail address:-bnnch@zahav.net.il On behalf of the Genealogical Department of the Center for Research on Dutch Jewry, Ben Noach-Coordinator of genealogical activities. The website of the Dutch Jewish Genealogical Data Base (DJGDB) can be reached at:- http://dutchjewry.huji.ac.il/maineng/upload/genealogy/main.html We also draw attention to the In Memoriam database, regrettably closely related to Dutch Jewish genealogical research:- http://dutchjewry.huji.ac.il/maineng/upload/remember/main.html

I have a tape recording of some of his compositions, which he gave me when I met him shortly before his death, entitled "Libi b'mizrach." There is a Jerusalem telephone number on the tape, 02-767327, but as I have not kept in touch I do not know if it is still relevant. Hello all,
After some time of disconnection I came back to my computer, to find out that the emails data base was corrupted. The back up didn't include the emails of the last 2 months. Hence, I would appreciate if anyone who wrote to me (especially regarding the Novogrudok research group) will re-send his/her letter. I appologize for the inconvinience. Ofer Cohen Israel
