Rejowiec: Krotman, Kamm, Zigelboim family site #general

Baruch <baruch@...>

Please take a look at my new family site located at www.krotman.co.il At present
this site is exclusively in Hebrew, an English version is planned for the not too
distant future.

The Krotmans originate >from Rejowiec ("Reiwitz"), Poland and the members of the
branch featured in this site are now mostly located in Israel.

The site includes the family names Kamm, Krotman, Zigelboim, Buchshtien,
Finkelman, Melnik and more...

Sincerely,

Baruch Krotman

with the "title" Reb.....

Dear Itche,

Sorry to say, but you cannot make such an assumption.

Headstones are a very tricky business. One pretty much has the freedom of putting
anything they want on a headstone.

It is not unusual on a headstone to call someone "teacher, rabbi and educated
in Torah" and be terms of a subjective nature and not academically precise or
true.

Along those lines one cannot assume that the use of R' , "Reb" on a headstone
makes someone a sabbath observer or religious.

Happy Chanuka,

Renee Steinig <rsteinig@...>

I'm searching for Diane BROOK BROWN, her husband Robert BROWN, and their daughter
Alison BROWN. They reportedly live in Toronto or vicinity.

Diane, a redhead, was born c1946 and grew up in Washington Heights (northern
Manhattan). Her parents, Kurt and Ilse BROOK, were German refugees. Before her
marriage to Robert, Diane was married to William J. STUTMAN, son of Louis and
Honey.

Thanks for any help you can provide (privately, please).

Rabbi Mordechai Kojen from Kozin, Ukraine #general

Miky Skulsky <skulsky@...>

Dear Genners,

I found that my g grandfather Rabbi Mordechai Kojen (Cohen) >from Kozin,
Ukraine ( d. abt. 1917) was one of the brothers-in-law of Rabbi Chaim
Rotenberg of Radzivilov, Ukraine (d. 1928). His son David Rotenberg
succeeded him, and perished in the holocaust. The daughter of Chaim Rotenberg
married the grandson of Rabbi Mordechai - Chaim Skulski. I also found that
Chaim Rotenberg's father Shmuel was Rabbi in Varkovitch, son of Rabbi Chaim
of Rovno, son of Rabbi Shmuel of Rovno, Son of Rabbi Eisar of Rovno (became
the Rabbi of Rovno in 1800).
Does any of you have any info of the people mentioned or any suggestions
where to look.

Miky Skulsky.

Seareching Murray Walsh #general

Mark Budman <budman@...>

Hello,

I am doing research on the name "Solomon Segal", and I have found a connection
to Murray Walsh. Murray is the grandson of Solomon Segal. In 1998, Murray was
living in Ontario (Toronto I believe), but I have lost his contact information.
(I spoke with him briefly at this time). I have come across new information that
might indicate a family link and I would very much like to get in contact with him.

If anyone knows how I can reach or contact Murray, it would be appreciated.

Regards,

Mark
