Re: Researching a German family in the Netherlands #germany

Below are some websites that might help you find records for your German
family in the Netherlands:

1) Beautiful website of Akevoth – Jewish Genealogical research in the
Netherlands.
http://www.dutchjewry.org/ The site is in English and is extremely rich in
information and easy
to navigate. Akevoth is an IAJGS member society.

2) This is the URL for "delpher", the website for historical newspapers in
the Netherlands.
http://www.delpher.nl/kranten

3) Trace Your DUTCH Roots
http://blog.traceyourdutchroots.com/2008/05/centraal-bureau-voor-genealogie.html

4) Dutch information is also available at: https://www.joodsmonument.nl/

I hope this is helpful.

FRYMER from Dobra (Turek county, Kalisz Gubernia) #general

Marty Meyers <martymeyers@...>

I've just looked at an 1896 marriage in Chorzele between Fajga Dyna
ZYLBERMAN and Aron Szlama FRYMER. Aron Szlama, whose parents were
Majer and Sura (nee WISN), was >from Dobra in Turek County and Fajga
Dyna was >from Chorzele. The name in the record index says FRYSZER but
I've checked the actual record and it is clearly an "M".

If you know of this FRYMER family, please contact me privately.

Female name Czarkusia #general

Martin Davis (com)

A female child, given the name "Czarkusia", was born in 1812 to my
direct ancestors Mosiek (Moshe) and Esterka (Ester) Dawidowicz in
Dzialoszyn, central Poland. The original birth announcement is on the
Geneteka site (Province: Lodzkie; Parish: Dzialoszyn; Year: 1812;
Number: 95) at http://metryki.genealodzy.pl . I have never come
across this name before and wondered if any Jewish Gen members might
know its origins and meaning?
