My Co-Chairs and I know >from the emails we get, that there are so many
people who want to attend the upcoming conference in Seattle, Aug 7-12,
but who just can't fit the conference into their calendar or their
budget. Although virtually attending the conference isn't as fabulous
as being there, it does provide access to about 90% of all of the
conference sessions. We also know that many of the attendees are
frustrated at not being to attend every session, and since there are
over 235 sessions, that's obviously physically impossible, so we have
solutions for you.

My uncle told me many years ago the someone had told him when he was
a child that he/we are descendant >from Rav Nachman of Breslev's
sister. We do have a tree that goes back to the Mahara"l down through
R' Naftali KATZ ("Smichat Chachamim"). but in the various trees that
we are connected to-not as direct descendants-there are Pinchas of
Koretz and the admo"r of Lechowitz , Reb Aharon and Pearl. (my
4xgrandfather's brother married their daughter).

Interestingly but not obviously, as it happened, my mother's first
cousin, Reb Yacov Meir SCHECHTER is one of the senior Rabbis of
Breslev today. Though his nephews are "into" Jewish geneaology and
they are also Breslever chassidim, they never mentioned any familial
connection to Rav Nachman or his sister. It seems that my uncle's
comment to me was the only hint that we may be descendant directly

from Nachman's sister.

Does anyone have any knowledge of Rav Nachman's sister's descendants.
I do understand that we may be distant cousins going back to the

Matel [ FEIGENBAUM / GLIEDMAN ] (M) was born in 1887 in Dublany,
registered in Zniesienie AGAD

Keila (F) [ FEIGENBAUM / GLIEDMAN ] was born in 1893 and registered in
Nawaria AGAD


In both cases, Krakow is listed not as place of birth of the children,
but as "town of mother", which might mean that Reizel and her parental
family were, indeed, >from Krakow but not Samuel Dawid .

If this were the case , it cannot be excluded that the couple itself did
not reside in Krakow, which will explain why you have hard time tracing
the Feigenbaum/Gliedman children in Krakow. If my own family can be used
as an example, my grandfather was born in Brody, my grandmother - in
Okopy Swietej Trojce, where they married in 1903. However, as my
grandfather was a bailif, they moved a lot and each one of their 5
common sons, was born in another town and sometimes also in another
Galician Province. Only around 1920 they moved back to Okopy and settled
there. So, it might reveal a good idea to search you Feigenbaum and/or
Gliedman outside of Krakow Province and more in the Lwow province.
