Looking for info on Isadore "Jack" DALY #general

Carols8600@...

I don't usually do this, but..... I'm looking for information on
Isadore "Jack" DALY, who lived in Mineola, NY as of August 1968.
While he supposedly died in the New York City area in the '70s, I
haven't been able to find anyone with that name in the SSDI who was
born @ 1909. I also wrote to his employer, Consolidated Cigar, but
got no reply.

His wife's name was/is Henrietta. They had no children, but his
wife may have had children >from a prior marriage.

I welcome any leads.

TIA,

Carol GUREVITZ SHKOLNIK
Columbus, Ohio

Researching:
CHUSID (Sorocki, Bessarabia); JUSID (Argentina);
SHUSSETT (Pittsburgh and anywhere in USA);
DELI/DALY (Sorocki, Argentina, Uruguay, and USA);
GUREVICH/GUREVITZ (Borisov, Belarus)

Police Chief, Linden NJ #general

Gerald R. Popelka, Ph.D. <popelka@...>

I am trying to find a relative who was the chief of police in Linden, NJ
in the 1950's. I don't have a name but assume that a Jewish chief was
somewhat unusual. I'd appreciate any information or lists of chiefs of
that period. How to obtain such archival information >from the city of
Linden would also be appreciated. Also searching GOLDBERG,
RODMAN/Boston, MA

Final (?) qs. on Red Cross cards #general

IsraelP <p2o5rock@...>

I appreciate everyone's patience as I wade through the
Red Cross cards >from Yad VaShem. I know that some of
them have seemed trivial, but everything is trivial if
you already know the answer. Three more questions.

1) On one card, the last entry is "Jul 1944 to Maidanek."
Are there Maidanek records available somewhere?

2) The following notations appear on the bottom of some
of the cards:

RBA.f.Wg.Koblenz
f.Dr.Julius Simon, Ffm.

Reg.Bez.A.Koblenz
f.Eckstein

RBA f.Wg.Koblenz
f.RA Konirsch,Mu[with an umnlaut].

Do these notations (I have one or two of each, not necessarily
for people who seem connected to one another) have to do
with the person making the inquiry to the Red Cross? Or
something to do with the registration?

3) Three cards show that the people mentioned were in Budapest
in 1946-7. All would be in their seventies or eighties today.
What is the next step in tracing what happened to them?

Thanx again for your patience.

Israel Pickholtz
