It hasn't been possible for me to find any documentation so I thought
somebody here might help. I, myself, live on the island mentioned and
I find it surprising that nobody here can give further information.
Also try Repositories of Primary Sources

Still Born Death Certificates - Cook Co, Ill #general

COL HARRY E STEIN <YTPT23A@...>

Need a source for still born death certificates >from Chicago, Cook
County, Ill. I do not have dates, just a year spread. LDS records
cannot assist me at State level as I discovered a bug in their
Illinois disk and at State level, one needs a specific date to get
results. An address would be appreciated.

Sants--Nowy Sacz #general

Mel Wolfsont <melwol@...>

Dear Genners,
Would any of you know of a Sants Society--a landsmanschaft for the
Jewish section of the city of Nowy Sacz that people living in New
York City area belonged to. I am seeking the grave of Israel Farber
who died in 1926 and was buried in a cemetery in Queens or Brooklyn.
Thank you for any information you have that can help me in my search.

The current name is Drogobych, Ukraine. You will find it on the
ShtetLinks Page at www.jewishgen.org/ShtetLinks . There are some
pictures and a great deal of information on this town. Remember, the
Russian language has no "H", so the sound is represented by a "G". All
are welcome to check out the ShtetLinks Pages and see what we have on
their ancestral towns. In addition, if you are interested in seeing
your ancestral town, gather your information, check out our
instructions, and before you know it, you can be posting your town on

Microfiche reader #general

Roberta Berman <danber@...>

For those researchers or genealogical societies looking for microfiche
or microfilm readers, you might try locating a second-hand reader.
Several years ago, the San Diego Jewish Genealogical Society purchased a
used microfilm reader in excellent condition that was advertised in the
classified ad section of the newspaper under the heading "Office
Equipment." We have never had any problems with it.

the last known documents pertaining to Meyer. Louis was my grandfather.
