Does anyone know what a "beadle" did?

After a year of inquiries, I finally received exact instructions about
obtaining a death certificate >from Zimbabwe. The cost is approximately $5 U.S. which is $20 Zimbabwe currency. The registry there insists upon a bank draft. The bank draft itself is $25 US!! If anyone is on the list from Zimbabwe or has close relatives there, I would like to send my letter requesting the certificate along with US currency to that person and ask that he/she enclose the Zimbabwe currency and mail the letter. If your relative there also has e-mail, could you let me know, and I'll post to them directly. Thank you. Several Dreyfus family trees were published here and there. Dr Henri ClaudeEve, By any chance, do you know if there is a connection between the French Dreyfus line and the American one? I speak of Jack Jonas Dreyfus (1885-1972) whose son was president of the large mutual fund corporation. Jack, Sr. was married to my great aunt, Virginia Anderson (1896-1982). John D.
