1874-1894). I always advise people looking in Gomel to try Mogilev and
Bobruisk, as well as a look at Orsha, Shlov and Vitebsk. But the big three
seem to be Mogilev, Bobruisk and Gomel. Many families sent sons in business
and daughters to marry, likewise importing sons-in-laws, etc.

For BELINKOFF, there is none as such. However there are very, very many
BELENKI in every year, and one or two BLINCHOVSKI, BELENITSKI.

My paternal g-father Meyer CHACEK was probably born in
Mazowiecki (Makow), Poland, c.1865 and moved to Ostroleka(Ostrolenka) Poland. My p-g-mother Chaya Sura SZON was probably born in Ostroleka.
They remained in Poland and died at the hands of the Nazis.
They had at least 7 children, 6 of whom emigrated to US.
The one child who remained in Ostroleka suffered the same fate as my
g-parents. Her name was Hinde and she was second oldest.
