Bialystok City Vital Records #poland

Mark Gordon <urbana44@...>

During the past week, the Archiwum Panstwowe w Bialymstoku has
added significantly more digital images to its online collection of
Jewish birth, marriage, divorce and death records for the City of
Bialystok. This Archives had previously digitized City records up
to 1886 sourced directly >from Mormon Church microfilms. The new
images, comprised of high resolution color scans, cover years 1887-
1910. While most of these records had been previously indexed in
a joint project involving the Archives staff and Jewish Records
Indexing - Poland (JRI-PL), now the original images are newly
available online.

Many of these new scans are exclusively in Russian Cyrillic script
since they do not include the Hebrew columns noted in some earlier
years.
Shown below is a link to this file:
http://szukajwarchiwach.pl/4/264/0/str/1/100?ps=True&tabJednostki

An alternate way to access this file is to initiate an indexing search
through JRI-PL and then click on the archival link at the top of the
results.

Re: Looking for a photo of an Edmonton Cemetery, England, gravestone #general

Michael Hoffman

Hi Roy,

The short answer is, there are no photographs of the graves at the of the
Federation of Synagogues Edmonton Cemetery or of the Western Synagogues
Edmonton Cemetery online, except for those on the website of "Cemetery
Scribes".

Do you have the grave ref's.? Which one of the 2 Edmonton Cemeteries? let me
know, as I could pay a visit to take the photographs for you before I attend
the IAJGS Conference in Seattle.

Best regards,

Michael Hoffman

If not, would someone be willing to take a photo of a gravestone for me? I
have the full details of the location of the stone in the cemetery.

Susan,

"Nadorna" appears to be a misspelled Polish name of town Nadworna,
currently known as Nadvirna, which BTW is located relatively short distance
from Solotvyn (Polish: Solotwina).
