ViewMate translation request - Polish #galicia

Andrew Hill <jewishgen@...>

I've posted a marriage record in Polish (>from Czortkow). This is the
first (potential) breakthrough I've had for this family in years, and
would most appreciate someone to help translate as much as possible.
It is on ViewMate at the following address...

Salomea Maria Statter & Janina Ruth Rosthal of Krakow #galicia

Peter Jassem <pjassem@...>

Hi,

I am preparing the inscription on the memorial plaque that
commemorates 27 people, who either were children, grandchildren,
or their spouses, of my great-grandfather Markus Statter, and for
whom I have definite information that they were victims of the
Holocaust.

It is a very large branch of my family tree and I do not know the fate
of only two people and want to check on them to make sure whether
they should or should not be mentioned, too. I think that I've tried
all of the online services to research victims of Shoah. It is likely that
both ladies have survived but I don't have such information either.
Here are names of these two people:

1. Salomea Maria Statter (both maiden and married surname was
Statter), wife of Herman Statter (who survived in India), likely
divorced >from him prior to 1939, born 1890. She lived in Krakow,
was the mother of Alfred Statter (who survived in India) and Leon
Statter (who died in 1939, reportedly in Lviv).

2. Janina Ruth Rosthal (maiden name Steinlauf), a resident of Krakow, no
birth date, the wife of Leopold Arie Rosthal, born 1918, who died
July 3, 1943 at Rakowice district of Krakow.

I'll be very grateful to anyone, who may have some advice or a clue.

Best regards & Shana Tova,

Peter Jassem

Yesterday I inquired about the captioned two people. In the meantime I was
able to establish that both ladies have survived Shoah.

1. Salomea Statter married her Polish rescuer and lived in Poland after the
war as Maria Nowakowska.

2. Janina Ruth Rosthal was in the Plaszow camp, survived and lived in London
UK after the war, and reportedly also in Miami.
