How to prove residence in Warszaw in 1936-1938? #general

Anita Hasson

Dear Genners,

I'am wondering how could I prove, That my father lived in Warszaw before the war,
at-least in the period of 1937-1939?

Is there any Cenzus of Warszaw inhabitants by that time - or any administrative
list to check? (No private phone on their name by that time).

Thanking in advance for good advice -
Anita Hasson (Kagan),
Israel.

Relations of Riga Ghetto Testimonial writer #latvia

I have received the following information that will be of interest as it
relates to the testimonial about religious life in the Riga Ghetto. Frieda
Heumann was the first wife of Karl Schneider who wrote the testimonial.
Frieda and their 2 sons were murdered in Riga.

Robert Heumann writes-

As I am not a member of the Latvia discussion group, feel free to copy/post
my info for me on that group...

For the record... Frieda Heumann was my father's sister...

My father was Willy, and he, Max and Hermann all survived the war, the
latter two in Shanghai, and my father and his wife, Sibilla, in New York.

My data at Ancestry is found under the Heuman-Heumann family tree, and Karl
and the rest are in that 14,000 plus list of members on the tree.

My great aunt, Dora PRUSMAK, was born in Iasi in 1896. Her birth record
lists her address 3 Apeducul Street, Iasi, Romania. I am unable to find
the street in any Iasi street map. Does anyone know where I can find a
street map of the city around 1896? Does anyone know whether street names
may have changed over the years?
