Did you know that JewishGen has a lost and found volunteer who will
try to locate "lost" genners?
If the name is not particularly common, and you know the genner lives
in the US, let me suggest you first start by trying to locate the
researcher using whitepages.com or online people locators (see
stevemorse.org).

If you get a bounced email message >from a JGFF message or >from our 20
years of archived discussion list messages, try contacting Marian
Price...just forward the undeliverable email and any additional
details you know about the person to lostnfound@lyris.jewishgen.org
with the subject lostnfound and Marian will try to locate the
genner...in any case she will contact you after she completes her
search...
Isn't JewishGen wonderful !?!

Marriage Record from Satoraljaujhely for WEISZ & DEUTSCH: ViewMate translation request - Hungarian #general

Moishe Miller

Dear Group,

Can you offer assistance? I have posted a record related to Herman
WEISZ in Hungarian for which I need a loose translation. It is on
ViewMate at
http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=VM29904

Entry #270 (last line) is the marriage record of Herman Weisz of
Michalovce (Slovakia) to Sali Deutsch. The marriage took place in
Satoraljaujhely (Sa. Ujhely). I know that Sali's parents were Samuel
Deutsch and Hani Szolz. I would like to know 3 things:
1. What is written for the entry for Herman's parents? I can not
decipher his father's name or anything under it at all.
2. What does it say for the two lines under Herman's name (third line
seems to say Mihaly, the name for Michalovce).
3. What is written as the last line under Sali's parents names (under
Hani Szolz)?

Please respond via the form provided in the ViewMate application.
Thank you very much,

Moishe Miller

Avigdor BRAUN from Rypin: ViewMate translation request - Polish #general

Moishe Miller

Dear Group,

Can you offer assistance? I have posted two records related to Avigdor
BRAUN in Polish for which I need a loose translation. They are on
ViewMate.

1. Birth record of Avigdor BRAUN in Rypin in 1835:
http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=VM29905

2. Marriage Birth record of Avigdor BRAUN to Raizel POSNER in Rypin in
1853: http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=VM29906

I do not need a full translation, I do not care who the witnesses are. I
would like the exact dates and the names of the parents and where they
are >from and any other detail on them. I also wonder if the name for
Avigdor, listed as "Wigdorem Hersza" on the marriage record means
Avigdor's FATHER was Hersz. Furthermore, Avigdor's father is shown on
the marriage record as "Hersza Isora (? or something like that, I can't
read it)". Does that mean that Hersh's father was some name starting
with "I". And can you decipher that name?

Please respond via the form provided in the ViewMate application.
Thank you very much
