Viewmate requests #austria-czech

morav@...

I would like to ask for your help in translating/interpreting a couple
of documents I have uploaded to Viewmate;

VM24006 - http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=24006 and
VM11702 - http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=11702

One is a marginal note added to an ancestor's birth matrik in 1946,
years after the birth. The other is a note on the back of another
ancestor's death certificate.

Many thanks in advance.

Calendrical assistance #general

A S Goldberg

I would appreciate assistance in converting Lithuanian records dates in the years
1903 and 1906 into their equivalent of the modern calendar. I believe the Julian
was still in use in the Russian Empire in those years. Are there any simple
conversions charts or formulae available online?

Please respond to me direct at alancomm@...

Many thanks
