I am an Argentine-Israeli-American citizen and Gombin descendant, recently retired from my job as university professor in San Diego. In the 1990s I was one of the founders of the Gombin Society and coordinated the projects to restore the town’s Jewish cemetery and install a memorial monument at Chelmno. Today I am not a member of the Gombin Society’s board but I organized for them the May 2019 Gombin-Gostynin Commemoration Trip. I am interested in genealogy and passionate about Jewish history. I deeply believe in the importance of preserving the memory of the Shoah, recovering the cultural heritage of the Jews of Poland, and promoting Jewish-Polish dialogue and cooperation.
