I agree with Sally Bruckheimer that there is difficulty and danger in linking family records with inadequate understanding and proof of relationships. The JRI-Poland indexes are both extremely helpful

Anne, OpenStreetMap is an open source tool that allows you to do this. http://www.openstreetmap.org/ Google Maps lets you do this too (to a lesser degree) but I think that OpenStreetMap is the easiest
