It is not too late to join and improve the study, and in so doing hopefully locate your Cohanic line (details in the report). -- Adam Cherson, NY, NY Project Administrator Benyakonski, Kherszon, Rubinovich, Solts, Grodsinski, Levine, Cohen, Kaplan, Lubetski, Karchmer, Horwitz, Rabinovich, Zussman (Lida, Voronova, Dieveniskes, Konvaliski, Smarhon, Vilna) Genomics Publications and Presentations: https://independent.academia.edu/AdamCherson |

Judith Sternberg
My paternal grandfather, Avraham Rapaport, told me when I was in high school, that we are related to the great Rabbi, Solomon Judah Loeb HaCohen Rapaport from the Ukraine / Prague, Czech Republic area. I've only been able to go back as far as my great grandfather, Leizer Rapaport from Mihaileni & Bacau Romania. I do not know where he was actually born. Will I find Solomon Rapaport in the report?
Thank you; Judith Rapaport Sternberg Boise, Idaho je_sternberg@... Researching: Rapaport from Moldova/Romania, Nitzberg from Brest-Litovsk, Winn / Wein from Vilneas, Sternberg, Steindel, Heirshberg from Zhitomyr, Ukraine. -- *************************************************** Judith Sternberg Boise, Idaho USA je_sternberg@... |

Judith Sternberg,
I'm very glad to hear of your research project because every single new family branch sheds light on the entire picture. Since there are two HaCohen Rapaports represented in the report, there is a good probability of your branch being connected to one of these. The first step is to identify your Rapaport haplogroup. If you require further assistance with this step please contact me privately for further details -- Adam Cherson,NY, NY |

It has come to my attention that there could be a block on downloads from OneDrive in some places around the world. Here is an another download server that I hope works in those situations: https://www.xyvy.info/service/CohanimReport_2022.pdf
Also, I received a private message from someone in with an email address something like this XXXpost@... (I X'd the first three) but when I tried to reply I received a 'permanent error' with that email address. The study is open not only for persons who know or believe they have a Cohanic ancestry, but also persons who are in the J-Z18271 sub-branch of the J-M267 group and who have no inkling of any Cohanic background. It has happened before that a Cohanic branch for various reasons loses sight of its Cohanic heritage, only to re-discover it via a genetic revelation. -- Adam Cherson,NY, NY |
