Replying individually to someone who has posted a message

I'm sure the answer to this is staring me right in the face, but on the old listserv, when someone posted a message you could see his/her email address is you wanted to send a reply that might not be of interest to the whole group. But I'm not seeing it on this new platform. Where do I look or how do I do it?

Bruce,

This is how the email you sent appeared.   Note the sender’s name (Bruce Drake).  All I had to do was click on your name to see your address. I then copied it and put it in the  To: space of the email.

I have now opted to receive individual messengers/threads as I find that easier than the daily digest. Even though this generates more emails, I can create a filter to put Jewishgen emails in their own folder. On the individual emails it’s easy to reply to the person who sent it rather than to the group by going to the sender’s name at the top of the email. This links to their email address. I don’t know if this also works in the digest as I have now changed the way I receive messages.

Barbara ... Does this work in the digests? I just clicked on your name in your reply to me and it showed nothing. The digests are the only way I see these messages as my inbox is too busy to received individual ones

Barbara, when I click on the sender's name, I do not get an email address. Does this approach work when you receive emails in a digest or daily summary or only when you receive the emails individually?  Any guidance you can offer would be helpful. Thanks. -Jodi Benjamin
