Dear researchers,
Here is an update for the Bessarabia Research projects for the month of October 2019.

Jewish Cemeteries. Updates:
-- Completed photographing and indexing of Valea-lui-Vlad Jewish Cemetery (former Jewish Agricultural colony) and sent to JOWBR 44 burial records with 44 images. Most of the inscriptions are not readable. See information at the Valea-lui-Vlad Cemetery Report at Bessarabia SIG website at Valea-lui-Vlad Cemetery Report (https://www.jewishgen.org/Bessarabia/files/cemetery/valea-lui-vlad/Valea-lui-VladCemeteryReport.pdf )

-- See 2 minutes of Aerial view on Kishinev Jewish Cemetery, mostly Sector 6, October 2019 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QeW3wi6gHc )

Bessarabian Databases. Updates:
--Revision Lists, plan to upload to JewishGen in December of 2019. A number of Revision List sets are going to be completed for towns of Kishinev, Khotin, Faleshty, Brichany, Beltsy, etc, (see the progress at https://www.jewishgen.org/bessarabia/files/databases/RevisionsOctober2019.pdf ) . There are already 2126 records completed.

Genealogical Articles.
-- Added an article/link about The Open Databases project at the Museum of Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot. It is a great resource to find out more about our families in Bessarabia/Moldova. You can get all family trees, photos for a particular town, or a family. For example for town of Brichany I got 26 articles, Beltsy - 36 and Bendery - 75 even for Valea-lui-Vlad, an agricultural colony I saw 2 articles. Here is a link to Museum of Jewish People site - https://www.bh.org.il/databases/jewish-genealogy/ )

Culture, Recipes. Updates:
-- Roza Makes Kasha Varnishkes. Here is how Roza present herself: Ich bin a Khotiner, Bessarabie, labn Chernovitz (I am from Khotyn, Bessarabia, near Chernovitz). The video is in Yiddish with English subtitles. I should tell that I enjoyed it so much, that I want you to watch it too. Ich givein azoy tsifridn tsu zein dos... - I was so glad to see this: http://pakvim.net/watch/kEMiMBSOE94
