The Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People (CAHJP) #austria-czech

Hello,

I'll be on a visit in Israel at the end of March.
Now I am thinking about visiting "The Central Archives for the History
of the Jewish People" (CAHJP) where I have never been before.
Can I expect to find material especially on Bohemia (mainly Prague),
that I would not find in the Prague archives?
How should I prepare such a visit to make it a success?

All helpful information is welcome.

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Have a look at their website, Peter - http://sites.huji.ac.il/cahjp/ .
The director is an English speaker and you can email her with questions.

Keep in mind three things. You may be talking holiday-time, so make sure
you go when they are open. Also, much of the material they have there is
catalogued by town, so you have to have an idea where you are looking.
Third, their material is in any number of languages, and the index cards
are in the language of the material.
