I just located a shetl by the name of CHAUSSKII in Mogilev.
This is listed in 1911. Does it still exist and if so what is the name of it today. I have not been able to find it on the shetl list. thank you Shalom Renee Marcus Researching Zalmanova, Frayerman Belarus |

Dear all,
Renee Marcus wrote: Today this is a rather small village called Chavusy (in Belarussian) and situated just to the southeast of Mahiljou (Mogilev). In 1911 it was called Chausy (no Chausskii) and was a relatively large village. In those days it was the districtcenter in the Chausy district (uyezd) in the Mogilev guberniya. Hope this helps!
