Article about Jewish War Cemeteries in Western Galicia #galicia
dathaler@...
Dear Genners,
Let me express my gratitude to Eva Floersheim for bringing to our attention the interesting article at www.muzeum.tarnow.pl/judaica/jewish.html I'm wondering if somebody was able to find a list of Jewish soldiers buried in those 400 war cemeteries around Western Galicia. Many of us tried unsuccesfully to get such information >from the Kriegarchiv in Vienna, but they only seems to keep record of officers. Looking anxiously for some piece of data David Thaler Buenos Aires / Argentina |

The regional museum in Tarnow has a website in Polish with a section
called Judaika Tarnowskie. In this section is an article, in English, called "Jewish War Cemeteries in Western Galicia" written by the museum's director Mr. Adam Bartosz. Perhaps others in this group will also find the article interesting.
